Oh My Hail!

We had the craziest hail storm hit us last week.  The hail was a big as a golf balls.  Mike was driving home from work. 

His car was destroyed!

Weekend…

with all the

kids

Mike had a work retreat and all the ladies came and hung at my place.  Shelley, Jess, and Jen are all college buds.  They came Friday with 16 kids total, counting mine, to play and hang out.  The kids went down around 10 and we stayed up til 2:30am.  We scattered sleeping bags all over upstairs and told the kids, “pick one and go to sleep!”

While we chatted and watched tv, Jess was the first to kazonk.  So what do we do?  We get her with eye liner all over her face.  The highlight of the night!!! hahahaha

The kids woke bright and early at 5:30am.  We did donuts for breakfast and cleared a store out, by doing so. 

Later, we took all the kids to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. 

We lined up sitters and took off that night for some girl time, without kids!  We ate at Ah So and then saw Secretariat.  Good flick.  Highly recommend it.   

The goodbyes were sad.  Jen left Sunday with her fam back to California.  Jaidyn has never done well with goodbyes and was sobbing.

Dagen Won…

…or lost, depending on how you wanna look at things.  We played a little game of penny in the flour last FHE and Dagen was the one to knock down the penny.  She felt like a winner being able to get the penny out with her teeth!

My Sisters 

We all have one in the family. 

Everyone has a teaser, a drama mama, a picky eater, or a bossy boss.  I’ve got one of each.

Isaac has had to write 50 times, I will not tease my sisters.  The other day it was 100. 

His teasing has been reduced quite significantly since.

Baseball

Season

Isaac is a natural at baseball.  He has quite an arm and he sure can bat.  And running?  Yep, he’s a good runner too.  He just had his first game Saturday night.  It was windy and dusty and the grit getting in Dagen’s eyes made her cry the entire time. 

Game time goes 6 innings or 2 hours, whichever comes first.  He meets with his team three times a week for 6 weeks.  Tues, Thurs, and Saturdays.  Two games a week and one practice.  Pretty hectic schedule, but he’s lovin’ it to pieces.

Anyone can get a turn at being pitcher, so Isaac’s coach told Isaac his turn will be next game.  Very excited for tomorrow!
