Our Beach Buds

These guys are so lucky to have the beach right down the street from their house.  What a fun place to live.  We decided to do one last Disneyland trip before our season passes ended, but there was no way we’d pass up time with our good friends, The Gilberts.  We love every single minute we can get.

The girls found a tree full of snails next to their house and collected a ton.  I’m ok with one or two, but when you show me this many… it gets a little creepy… fear factor creepy.

Tara and Yannick had a fairwell work dinner to attend to so we took all the kids to the beach.  The kids explored and played and could have stayed there all day, had we let them.  But we had plans of our own.  We got sitters for the kids and us adults went out for a little fun.  We have a little tradition of our own with these guys.  It’s called, “Double Feature Night.”

Mike spotted this lady behind him and we both couldn’t stop laughing.  This lady is really protecting her skin.  Good for her!IMG_0065IMG_0073

We went out for dinner at The Island Grill and then watched Jane Eyre.  We were sad there wasn’t another good movie we were willing to see.  This was our first visit there not able to pull off double feature night.  Boooo.

Shhhhhhugar!

I needed a little more sugar and remembered a huge bag stored in our closet.  I knew this would/ could happen as I propped a stool and stood up on my tip toes to pull it down.  But I did it anyway.  Mike came home from his basketball game with Isaac a little after and saw the mess and just shook his head.

What luck.  Our closet was a mess.  My sweet husband took care of it all for me.  I didn’t even ask him to.  Love this man of mine.

The Leprechaun Got Us Again!!!

The kids were not expecting a visit from the leprechaun since we had gone to bed so late the night before and forgotten to set out our trap.  What a tricky little guy.  He turned our milk green, painted on our Lucky Charms cereal box, the cereal bowls, and on the kids’ faces.

Isaac was so sure that there had never been clover shaped cereal inside the box, that the leprechaun put them inside.  There was no arguing with him about it.

Becky through her annual dinner party with corned beef and cabbage and even a coin treasure hunt.

And Dagen insisted she needed a new paper bag after she tore hers.  She made everyone wait for her.

And that’s not chocolate on Wes’ face, but a really bad injury he had the night before when he decided to try out the treadmill and stopped running while the treadmill was still going full speed.  Just imagine the pain… poor kid.  It was an America’s Funniest Home Video moment.
