A Very SCARY Moment
A horrible, scary disaster occurred while Jaidyn was babysitting. While she was changing Carter’s (9 mths old) diaper on the floor, his 2 year old sister, Claire climbed up on the chair and pulled out the top drawer and somehow pulled the entire dresser right down on Carter’s head. Luckily, Jaidyn was able to hold most of the weight with her arm! There was screaming from everyone. Carter, Claire, and Emmi (4 yrs old). And Jaidyn somehow kept it together and gave their parents a couple calls, while she calmed Carter down. When she couldn’t get a hold of them, she called me. And that’s when I could hear the cracking in her voice, as she tried her best to keep it together in front of the kids. I rushed over to find what you see in these quick pictures I took to send to Carter’s parents as I told them what had happened. So grateful everything was ok afterwards. So grateful the dresser hadn’t fallen completely on top of him.
Julia’s 1st Temple Baptisms
What a fun time to see these beautiful girls who have blossomed right before our eyes, look forward, so long, to the day they get to enter the temple. And we were honored enough to join Julia for her first time going. Jaidyn had gone her first time with just Mike and I and then she went once again with the youth. So this was her 3rd time to go. I loved the pictures I got of Mike, Dave, and Heather taking pictures. So cute.
And Here We Go…
Like I said in the earlier post, we had a whole fun-packed trip planned. Cabin time competing for best arrow shot to target, time reading and relaxing and waking up late each morning, staying up late playing games and eating so much junk (it’s surprising no ones heart stopped), an adventure-drive to and from Grand Canyon, and the joy of looking over an edge and a view that looked like a fake backdrop! I am so grateful my kids get to enjoy a cabin and all the wonderful stories and memories that will come from those stays. So grateful for the unselfish plan of Ron and Judy to build such an amazing place for all of us. Since it has been built, the kids have learned to four-wheel, shoot a bow and arrow, hike mountains, ride dirt bikes, sledding when weather permits, they get to enjoy the beauties of Heavenly Father’s creations, roast marshmallows, etc.
And best of all, time together as a family.
The more the merrier.
…and just when you thought the kids had been filled with too much junk, nana and papa give the kids $ to spend for more treats for the drive home. hahaha
