40 Happy Faces

It was Isaac’s turn for choosing a reward for filling his chart up.  Of ‘course he chose the new reward of going out with Mommy for a couple hours.  We took a Saturday straight from one of Isaac’s basketball games to go out.  We went to pretty much the same places as Kallie and I.  We hit Payless and grabbed the kid some stylin’ new church shoes, stopped by Walmart for a treat and a soda of his choice, ate at Panda, dessert at Cold Stone, a stop at the pet store to visit all the dogs going for adoption that morning, and ended it with a little down time at Barnes and Noble.  Isaac has really been into those Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book Series.

Isaac is such a sweet kid.  His voice is a quiet whisper and he is all about fun, fun, fun.  He is a sensitive kid who breaks down in tears a lot.  You ask him to do something twice and he’s crying.  He is very aggressive and all over the floor when playing basketball.  He loves playing the piano and has never been forced to practice.  He is still shy when it comes to performing his new breakdancing moves for people, but can rock the house in his breakdancing class.  Parents watching are always commenting on how good he is at it.  He still sleeps with his blankie, but who are we kidding here.  All my kids STILL sleep with their blankies!  He loves loves loves tuck in time when we sit and cuddle with him for a while.  He never has to be prodded to get ready for school in the morning.  He gets right to it and is my morning person.  Cheery and ready to start the day.  He LOVES daddy time.  He cherishes his daddy.  He’s really been into watching basketball on tv with Daddy and has been found on occasion cheering loudly when a basket is made.  He loves riding his electric scooter up and down the street at top speed and even tries a couple wheelies.

I love this kid of mine.
